The PMI-RMP® Certification
Lesson 2 Chapter 2
When we talk about someone’s credentials/certifications, we are describing their achievements, training, and general background, which indicates that they are qualified to do something.
PMI uses the terms credentials and certifications interchangeably.
The PMI Risk Management Professional credential demonstrates your ability to identify, evaluate, and manage project risks. PMI maintains an up-to-date certification registry.
A credential is awarded following an advanced level examination which follows a rigorous exam that is psychometrically validated and is delivered through a third-party testing service such as Pearson Vue.
Certification holders must maintain their certifications by earning a certain number of Professional Development Units (PDUs) over a 3-year cycle.
